Benefits

UKIP policy will bring BENEFITS to all

The UKIP manifesto explains how the benefits will be achieved. The big idea is to set up a "low-tax economy" and cut red tape.

For taxpayers

Lower taxes - and our manifesto fully explains how we’ll achieve low taxes. Lower food prices. Lower prices for all products in shops.

For older house owners

Scrap inheritance tax*

For homeowner when attacked

Presumption of innocence if you defend your home.

For the first time buyer of a home

Easier to find and keep a job in a booming economy - lower income tax - halved council tax.

For savers

Restore tax advantage to pension funds. (i.e. no tax on dividends)

For business

Low flat rate taxes, as in Estonia, Slovakia and Hong Kong. (Scrap VAT and have only a sales tax. Much simpler) - scrap EU red tape - leading to easier times and an expanding economy.

For consumers

Saving of £873 per person per year (in lower prices and lower taxes) just from scrapping EU red tape.

For workers and job seekers

More jobs on offer, because of expanding economy

For women, part-timers, older people, and semi-disabled

More jobs on offer, easier to get a job.

For pensioners

Raise state pension by £25 per week (simply using the amount by which we now subsidise the EU) - restore full pension to British pensioners living overseas.

For council taxpayers

Halve council tax for all.

For income tax payers

Combine NI with income tax. Low flat rates. Stimulate economic activity. Reduce incentive to evade.

For civil servants

Run an economy that can afford to pay your pensions, unlike now.

For doctors

Trust the professionals - we’ll let the doctors run the health service. Scrap targets. Reintroduce matrons in charge of everything. Scrap quangos. (Scrap modernisation agency, and strategic health authorities). Scrap working time directive.

For patients

Surgeries open evenings and weekends. Scrap EU restraint on food supplements and herbal medicines. Matrons keeping hospitals clean.

For teachers

Trust the professionals - let the teachers run the schools, no government interference in exams. Let headmasters sack unruly pupils with no outside interference. Teachers to run all intermediate tests (Scrap SATs).

For students at schools

Reintroduce assisted places scheme in schools. Maybe school vouchers. More grammar schools*.

For students at universities

Scrap sub-standard university courses. Do not expand places by reducing standards. No top up fees. No student loans. Give maintenance grants instead. But to fewer students overall. Graduates will then get jobs more easily.

For school leavers

Many (like Richard Branson) will be lured into jobs straight from school (better job market).

For soldiers

Use military only for our defence. More money for the military. Retain ancient regiments.

For fishermen

Regain our fishing industry. Manage it like Iceland, successfully. Don't throw 90% of the catch back, dead, into the sea (as is now done under appalling EU regulations). Fallow zones introduced speedily.

For farmers

Manage our own farming - scrap EU red tape, thus restoring local abattoirs. Manage disease outbreaks better, free of EU rules. Apply subsidies in British interests only.

For police

Cut targets, cut reporting, cut paper. Chief constables responsible to local government. Credible sentences.

For Africa

Restore fair trade terms - scrap unfair EU trade subsidies and rules.

For the environment

Cut emissions - go nuclear, like France. Control immigration to what is good for the country - (which reduces stress on the green belt). Points system. Firm enforcement. Scrap GM foods.

For our grand-children

Restore our freedoms: restore Westminster democracy, habeas corpus, jury trial, rule against double jeopardy, freedom of speech (all now being suppressed).
